Winnie the Pooh 1st Birthday Party - Guest Post by Lena from Root & Blossom

Good Morning Everyone! Today I am so excited to have Lena from Root & Blossom guest posting on Fawn today. She is here to share her son's ADORABLE 1st birthday party that she chose to theme after one of their first nicknames they gave him. I don't want to spoil the fun, so take it away Lena!!

*+*+*+*

Hi new friends! My name is Lena and I blog over at Root&Blossom. I started my blog a few years ago as a way to update friends and family when we moved to Japan but it quickly morphed into my creative outlet where I share about the ins and outs of our life along with my home and kitchen escapades.

A few weeks ago our son turned the big O-N-E! With almost exactly half his life lived in the US and the other half in Japan, this year has felt truly expedited. Though I love living in Japan once a year, I do miss many of the hobbies I have in the US. However, this freed me up quite a bit to plan our little guy's first birthday. Thank goodness for Pinterest secret boards! Do you use those?

We decided to do a Winnie the Pooh inspired birthday party because 'honey bear' was one of Gabriel's first nicknames. Specifically I focused on Winnie the Pooh and the honey tree going as far as making his smash cake look like a bee hive decorated with sugar bees!

Here's a look into our son's special day...

Bunting is for sale in my Etsy shop.

If you are interested in any of the supplies or recipes used to create the dessert display you are welcome to visit the post I published laying it all out in detail.

I want to send a special thank you out to Whitney from Life Alaskan Style for sending Lena my way! Thank you Whitney!
