In Full Bloom Baby Shower - Celebrating Baby Girl Anice

Hi Friends! I am excited to share with you a sweet little baby shower that was put together to celebrate a sweet baby girl named Anice who will be arriving soon!  Located in the college Sunday School room at our Church House, we transformed the space into a peachy perfect gathering that even the men enjoyed!

Every Sunday, my family and I meet with our community group from our church as a way to learn more about Jesus and dig deeper into God's word. It is a wonderful way to connect, encourage and care for others who are in the same stage of life that we are and together we pursue a stronger relationship with God and each other all while eating, laughing, learning and praying and I couldn't image our lives without this time to look forward to. If you are not connected within your local church, I would definitely consider looking into your small group ministry. I promise, you will gain so much more than the time you feel like you lost by getting together!

On this particular night, our community group decided to throw a little baby shower potluck for our Paster Brian and his wife Curry, as they will be welcoming their baby girl into their current family of 4 in a few months. Since Anice will be the only girl of her siblings, we knew we had to go all out "girly-girl" style with a modern twist on the garden theme!!  After seeing so many beautiful garden theme arrangements, designs and decor lately - I couldn't help but re-create my current obsession. From my favorite nursery wall mural here, and garden theme wedding inspiration here, I knew I couldn't help but dive into this new paper floral phenomenon (...well new to me), so this is how it all came together.

Playing off of the color scheme that is being used in Baby Anice's nursery, I went with a simple corner floral arrangement using peaches, whites and touches of navy in various flower shapes that I constructed using cardstock paper (Tutorial to Come). My husband Ryan created the beautiful script name out of a sheet of birch wood we had on hand.
I set a few mason jars of baby's breathe around the "dessert table" as well as the "food table" to help soften the scene and bring in a fresh and beautiful ambiance to the room.

I found this beautiful floral print from Rifle Paper Co. a few years ago and became obsessed with it's subtle use of colors and hand-painted design and that's what I used as my inspiration and actual decor throughout.  When it came to the cake, my incredibly talented friend and fellow mommy blogger/designer, Rachel from Rachel Elizabeth Creates found a wonderful shop through Etsy, called Decor Eats which specializes in transferring prints and patterns onto "sugar sheets" and in turn allows you to decorate your cake using your own pattern or print. So I sent owner, Karen (who was amazing to work with) a sample of the floral pattern and she was able to do just that. I went through the same process as Rachel and ordered my cake from Publix with a simple buttercream frosting with no trim and applied the sugar sheet around the outside of the cake.  It turned out adorable and I will definitely try this again for future celebrations! ...And of course the cherry on top is this sweet cake topper from Etsy Shop; Cuts of Confetti!

We can't wait to meet you baby Anice! See you soon!

A Fanciful Floral Oasis For Baby Girl

Hi Fawn Friends! So I am on a roll with nursery inspiration these days! Today I am super excited to share with you another amazing nursery design from talented fellow mommy blogger, Rachel from Rachel Elizabeth Creates blog. Can you tell I'm obsessed with her simple, clean yet stunning style. Rachel really has an eye for design that makes a statement in a soothing and calming way. All of her designs look as though you walked into the pages of a top Home Design magazine yet still gives you a feeling of comfort and cozy.  When designing her soon-to-be baby girl's nursery, she did just that. With a beautiful floral mural statement wall as her anchor, Rachel captured the epitome of girly chic in her stunning diy details and vintage pastel accent pieces. Must I say that I am absolutely SWOONING over the floral mural wall that was hand-painted by Rachel herself! Yes, you read that right. No stencil, No wall-paper covering, just this talented mama and her own unique vision. I can't say enough about this charming space so I will let the photos do the talking. Without further ado, here is baby Ansley's Fabulous Floral Oasis! Get ready to swoon friends! :)
