PinchMe. Sample Box Review

Hi Friends! I am so excited to share with you this awesome service that you will LOVE! With so many products to choose from out there, wouldn't it be nice to be able to try them out first? Well, this sweet little company called PinchMe, is a service that provides just that - products from leading brands for you to try out for FREE all in exchange for your feedback,"with no subscription cost attached."!

I have been a part of a few subscription services in the past and as much as I enjoyed them, they were usually the first thing I cut off when I wanted to cut back on spending or begin saving for a special trip, etc. The good thing about PinchMe is that you can receive exciting new products every month FOR FREE!

All you have to do is sign up on their website, you then move on to fill out a few questions that allow them to connect your interest to the brands and items creating a catered sample list for you to choose from. One Tuesday every month, samples are released at 12PM est. On this day, members are to log in and claim samples that are matched to the interests that you provided in the questionnaire. Some months, you will see an abundant amount of samples available, some times you may see no samples at all. It all depends on if the brands of your interests are providing samples that month.

The box sizes vary every month depending on how many and size of the samples provided. The box I receieved contained past and present samples that PinchMe had available at one point so I could get a well rounded idea of what to expect. Your monthly box may or may not contain this many samples, it all depends on what samples are available to you at that time.

With my interests ranging anywhere from Baby Products to Women's skincare and nutrition, I received a variety of items that matched up to those interests (not all pictured). The only thing about PinchMe that may be tough to remember is to log in at 12:00PM est on Sample Day Tuesday to claim your samples. You will want to be one of the first to claim as the numbers are limited and product samples run out fast! NEXT SAMPLE DAY IS FEBRUARY 23rd!

Homemade Play-doh Valentine Gift

Hi friends! Are you like me and have a soft spot for adorable homemade gifts? Today I am excited to share a gift that I created for McKenzie to give to her classmates this Valentine's Day.  I wish I could say that I came up with this idea on my own, however, I have to give credit where credit is due. Fellow Mommy Blogger, Chelsea from Buggy and Buddy posted this adorable and easy homemade v-day gift and it was exactly what I was looking for. Something that didn't involve candy yet still held the same level of excitement.

Here is how we made our own homemade play-doh and turned them into the sweetest little valentine's that every kiddo will enjoy!

1. First Gather Your Ingredients For Your Play-doh: 

• 1 Cup Of Flour
• 1/2 Cup Of Salt
• 2 tsp Creme of Tartar
• 1 1/2 T of Vegetable Oil
• 1 Cup of Water
• Food Coloring

2. Cook ingredients over medium heat and stir until dough becomes stiff

• If You choose to use different colors, hold off on the food coloring until your dough becomes stiff. You will then divide your dough into your preferred amount, then knead the coloring into your dough (can be messy but the outcome is worth it)

3. Knead your dough, then divide into your preferred amount of balls. This recipe produced 8 balls.

4. Store in an air tight container (in fridge for longer lasting) until Valentine's Day!

• Valentine Inspired Cookie Cutter(s) - I found mine at Walmart in the clearance baking aisle.

• Baker's Twine - Can be found at Target

5. Wrap Your Goodies and Your Little Gift Giver will be Valentine's Day Ready!

*** For All Of My Fellow Oily Mommies. You can also knead in 3-5 drops of your favorite essential oil(s). I added Peppermint Essential Oil to a batch that I made to keep here at home. Not only does the aroma smell yummy, peppermint helps to uplift and rejuvenate the senses. Win Win! (make sure to refer to the manufacturer’s instructions to make sure that the particular essential

oil you use is safe for your age child )
