A few days ago we were quickly working in the garage on a DIY project for our upcoming family photo session while our McKenzie was fast asleep right on the other side of the wall in her nursery. We had her baby monitor in the garage which made the project feel even more rushed knowing that the alarm of the baby monitor could go off any minute. Luckily we were able to complete the project just in time for the bell to ring, the blow-horn to sound, the volcano to erupt. While I was in the zone making a few last minute adjustments, Ryan let me finish up and rushed into McKenzie's nursery to "Save The Day"! After consoling her and a changing her diaper, he came back out into the garage with McKenzie in tow as her sweet blue eyes were filled up with left over tears. As soon as she felt the cool breeze coming through the opening of our garage door and her eyes locked mine, she then turned back to look at her daddy (her hero) and she gave us a great BIG smile! Contentment quickly came over her. We decided to take a break from the garage and have a little group gathering on the front steps of our porch- Just Myself, Ryan, McKenzie and our Pit-Bull rescue, Nahla. My heart melted as I watched my husband observing and doting on our baby girl. One of my favorite sights to see is when my husband takes a moment to be totally engaged and focused on every little movement, facial expression or giggle that McKenzie so gently let's out. I have to say that I am treated with this wonderful sight every day and each time it makes me fall deeper in love with my husband. To Mine and McKenzie's "knight in shining armor", Happy Father's Day and Thank You For Being Such An AMAZING Daddy!
